Lathe/Tool Work: Slightly harder and denser than Eastern black walnut. While it cuts cleanly, the irregular, swirling grain patterns require extra care and razor-sharp tools to avoid tear-out on the lathe.
Finishing:Claro practically begs for a finish that highlights its 3D depth. High-build clear coats, penetrating oils, or flooding the wild voids with clear epoxy resin will make the marble grain and "curl" completely pop.
